So here it is Friday night and as it turns out we do have entertainment tonite….
Dave Philips returns for his 3rd visit to the Showroom… singer/songwriter/guitar player from Vancouver, he won our hearts right away and he is a contender in my view…show starts at the far side of 8pm …sharp.. and will be live streamed as usual….. (don’t forget the ‘donate ‘ button…especially if you enjoy the show)
Saturday night has Georgia’s Belly Dancing Extravaganza…a true showing of the many talented belly dancers from the south island…still some tickets left…and there shouldn’t be…
Also on Saturday night for those that want to dance themselves, please go to the Crofton Hotel Showcase Venue where Thor and the Thundercats hit the stage at 9pm… king of the blues , there is quite a bit of familiar rock’n’roll tunes thrown in to engage you in tearing up the dance floor ….and only a $10 ticket
Sunday has the Hope King Hour moved to a 4pm slot so as to accommodate Hope’s theatre rehearsal….she is so worth the time spent to get here…and only $10
Sunday evening at 8pm sees Emily Spiller bring her soul driven original tunes served up in a new way…pre-recorded back-up with a loop machine to work magic with….was at the Summer Festival this year and I have had her come back to the Showroom 5 times now….she is so cool
Monday night….yes a Monday night…Ron Hynes, singer/songwriter of renown from Newfoundland…this is one of those concerts you really shouldn’t miss….$25 advance ticket price or $30 at the door
Dress Rehearsal Tuesday is the ‘open’ mic evening of the month so grab your instrument and get on stage….we all have fun
Wednesday and Gregory Hoskins at the Showroom…the most played cd at the Showroom, this guy is just another very great singer/songwriter that so needs to be heard…you will not be disappointed…so please trust my judgment on this one
Thursday …Sid Johnson / Evan Miller….Ladysmith takes to the Showroom stage….both really good singer/songwriters….
Gotta go so till later
